The 3rd annual Wheels Through Time Raffle Bike found it’s new home Saturday, November 12, 2005. Jim Usher, a Harley Davidson test rider for Modern Engineering in Talladega, Alabama was the lucky winner of the fully restored 1939 Harley Davidson Knucklehead Bobber valued at $35,000!

Wheels Through Time Museum draws a diverse crowd, all with their own individual stories of why or how they came to be here. Jim had just canceled a motorcycle trip to Colorado so he could volunteer his time in Louisiana to help in the aftermath of hurricane Katrina. On his way back home last September, he came through Maggie Valley with his wife and visited the museum. When museum founder Dale Walksler made the call last Saturday afternoon, Jim couldn’t believe he had won. All he could say was “You’re kidding!”. If it weren’t for caller ID, Jim said he would have thought his friends were playing a joke on him.
